WiFi is available in our own pub onsite along with snacks.
Leighlinbridge Tennis Club
We have a large hot tub installed within the grounds, set in a traditional log cabin, enabling up to 7 people to enjoy a relaxing soak. A hot tub is much more than a simple extravagance. The therapeutic benefits of hydrotherapy are well documented and can relieve symptoms of rheumatism, arthritis, insomnia, backache and anxiety - not to mention the effects of a stenuous round of golf or a horse riding expedition!
The water is kept at 37 to 40 degrees centigrade and is continually filtered and cleaned, much like a swimming pool. Treat yourself to a bubbling, steamy immersion!
We have incorporated a barbeque area so guests can enjoy the long Summer evenings.
Hairdressers & Beauty Salons
5 minutes drive will bring you to the riverside town of Bagenalstown where you will find several beauty salons and hairdressers should you wish to pamper yourself.
Other Local facilities
Also in nearby Bagenalstown you'll find supermarkets & ATMs together with a branch of the Bank of Ireland (and Bureau de Change) and a main Post Office. You can buy fishing equipment in McCullagh's shop in the Market Square and cross the road to sample a pint of Guinness in Joe Phelan's pub with it's old photographs of the area. Take a leisurely stroll by the beautiful River Barrow with it's ancient granite locks and weirs.
Gowran Park Horse Racing
We are a few miles from the famous Gowran Park race track. Irish racing attracts people from all strata of Irish society and the bigger festivals are more like a party, with hundreds of locals and those from farther afield enjoying the Craic. Sample a truly authentic Irish experience at the scenic Gowran Park course. Click here for Gowran Park race fixtures. Also venue for Gowran Park Golf Course. Directions: Take the road towards Waterford (from Paulstown) and it's just through Gowran village, on your left.
Traditional Irish Music
County Carlow has a long history of producing excellent Irish Traditional Music. Look out for notices on pubs in Carlow town and Kilkenny city.
Major Local towns
We are 20 minutes from either Carlow Town or fabulous Kilkenny medieval city, with all the shops, restaurants and pubs you could wish for. Both towns have cinemas for those rainy days and nearby Bagenalstown also has a supervised indoor play centre called Kiddies Kingdom for children from age 2 upwards.
